Tharien is an occupational
therapist who qualified with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at
the University of the Free State. She participated in numerous international
courses and is a certified DIR Floortime trainer, sensory integration therapist
and Tomatis level 3 consultant. She attends courses on a regular basis to
ensure that her therapy and knowledge is always current, and evidence based.
After working in a Tertiary
academic setting, Tharien went into private practice in 2009 in Vanderbijlpark.
Tharien specializes in autism, ADHD, ADD, sensory processing difficulties and
rare children diseases. Her main objective is to help children and teenagers
reach their maximum potential in life, by enabling parents to understand them
better and support their sensory and emotional needs.
Tharien is married and a
mother of two beautiful children. Her family is the core of her existence and
the reason to her smile. She values relationships and thrives to give her best
in every aspect of her life.
